Most cats will get "high"on catnip as they inhale the nepetalactone from this grass. The effects only last about 10 mins. If used too much, a cat can become insensitive to it. It is therefore recommended to be used once every two to three weeks in order to prevent habituation. It is not addictive and the active ingredient is non-toxic and has no adverse effects on cats.
